We believe the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, came from God through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and is His Word: “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16; read also 2 Peter 1:21).
We believe the Godhead is a Trinity: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost” (Matthew 28:19, also 3:16, 17).
We believe Salvation comes only through faith in Jesus Christ and His shed blood on the Cross of Calvary: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8; also 1:7; Acts 4:12, Romans 10:13-15; John 3:16).
We believe Water Baptism is a direct command of Jesus and is to be done by immersion in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost” (Matthew 28:19). This act shows the believer’s identification with Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection: “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life” (Romans 6:4).
We believe that those who have been born again can ask for and receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth (Acts 1:8; also 2:38, 39). The biblical sign that someone has received the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is speaking in other tongues as the Spirit enables him or her (Acts 2:4).
We believe that Divine Healing was provided by Jesus’ suffering and death on the Cross and is available to all who believe: “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: (Isaiah 53:5; also 1 Peter 2:24; Mark 16:18; James 5:14, 15).
We believe the Lord’s Supper / Communion is to be taken in remembrance of Christ: “After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: This do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me (1 Corinthians 11:25). All born again believers in Christ are invited to participate in this special observance.
